Lake Beulah's John Berg has won the 2009 Junior Fleet No Tears Regatta!  Competing on Lac LaBelle with light breezes, John won the first two races of the regatta and finished with a second and a third place.  Also competing from Beulah, Jacquelyn Komas finished tenth and Hallie Mikacich finished twelfth.  Anne Franzene provided the LBSS sailors with on site support and coaching and provided the following report.

Junior Fleet Final Results

The wind was light and extremely shifty, especially in the morning.  Hallie's first off-lake regatta performance was great, finishing 12th overall and winning the "Guess How Many" candy jar full of 201 gummy bears.  Jacquelyn Komas also had a great regatta, her best race finish was an exciting third place!  She was tenth overall.

No one's day was better then John Berg's.  With a dominating performance, John swept the regatta with a 1, 1, 2, 3.  He then proceeded to impress the crowd with a humble speech, thanking his parents and coaches, the judges, and most importantly the people who made lunch. In summary it was a fantastic time for all of the Beulah kids.  Everyone came home with a prize and a smile.  The goal of No Tears, No Guns, No Protests at regatta was definitely accomplished!
