Sailing School Auction

|
We would like to thank those members of the Lake Beulah Yacht Club and the East Troy, Milwaukee, and Mukwonago communities which supported LBSS by attending and participating in our annual fund raiser. Without your strong support, the sailing school would be greatly challenged to provide the youth and adults of our community with the sailing experiences detailed above. This year's prime rib dinner was orchestrated by Dave & Marge Berg with help from the LBSS Board. Students of the sailing school assisted by waiting on tables and clearing plates.
Thanks to Dale and Nancy Roble for leading the fund raising efforts, Chris Kubicek for helping Dale in the back room, and Kent Haeger for leading the competitive voice auction. We are blessed by the leadership and support of this army of volunteers. |

The Geneva Lake Sailing School hosted its annual dinghyfest regatta from July 12 to 14. Unfortunately for the X Class, winds were very light resulting in just two races sailed - one on Monday and another on Tuesday. Winds for the dinghies were much more accommodating at 10 knots from the south. Beulah's David Porter was the PRO for the X Class while Geneva Hall of Famer, Jane Pegel, managed the dinghy courses.

Charlie Kutschenreuter and Alex Keck won the 45th annual Class X Quad Lakes Regatta. Also known as the Four Lakes Regatta, the Quads were first competed on the waters of Lake Beulah back in 1971. Over the years, many sailors from Beulah, Cedar, Nagawicka, and Pine have won the title. This year, Beulah sailors benefited from local knowledge as five Beulah crews finished in the top five overall. Cedar Lake's Kathryn & Nick Rusher, Madelyn & Patrick Crowley, and Alison Rusher & DJ Jaessing performed strongly while finishing 6th, 8th, and 10th, respectively. Pine Lake's Molly & Isabel Seidel finished 9th. For final results, click here .
